Would you wear/are you wearing your mother's wedding dress?

my mom would like me to wear hers, she has kept it preserved for the last 30 years. But she understands if I want my own. I dont think it will fit, she only weighed 100 pounds when she got married (I'm 120) and it had pouffy long sleeves and a hat! But we are going to try it on together and see if there are alterations that can be made to make it more modern. If it seems like too much work or the alterations will cost too much or nothing cute can be made out of it, then I will get my own. But it is nice to have that option and I appreciate the offer. Her dress was $3,500 in 1979, all the beads were hand sewn along the trim.
