Christians, why are you against evolution (not critisizing, genuinely curious)?

I believe in evolution and am Christian. I have watched hundreds of doentaries and my cousin is a archeologist. You ume though that earth days i.e. 24 hours and the same length of time as God's days (not necessarily true).
