Imax imagery in home?
For true 3D, you need one camera to capture the left eye image and one for the right eye image. The cameras must see the seen from different angles. There are several methods of viewing the stereo images. One can be polarized perpendicular to the other so that only the eye with the right polarity sees the right images. A less effective way is to put one image thru a red filter and the other thru a cyan filter. There are several systems under development for viewing on a video monitor. One type of system shows left and right images alternately, and you view the screen thru LCD gles which open the right eye when the right image is on the screen. Such systems can be bought now, but they're expensive, and you're throwing away your money if you don't wait to see which system will win the battle for market supremacy.
