Gwen Stefani costume - would this be cool?

I'm going on a popstar-themed night out dressed as Gwen Stefani soon. I'm doing the 90's No Doubt look with the combats, platinum wig, red lipstick, etc. I thought it might be a cute touch to get 'Don't Speak' or 'Just a Girl' printed onto a little white vest top in a bit of a punky font, but is this idea good or do you think it will look naff, like I'm trying to make it too obvious who I am being? Opinions needed and appreciated!
